To calibrate the Apera SX721 Portable pH/ORP Meter, follow these steps:
1. Power on the meter by short pressing the power button.
2. Rinse off the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
3. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 7.00 buffer solution and make a quick stir. Hold the electrode still.
4. Wait for the reading to stabilize and stay on the screen. Short press the calibration button to finish the 1st point calibration.
5. Rinse off the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
6. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 4.00 buffer solution and make a quick stir. Hold the electrode still.
7. Wait for the reading to stabilize and stay on the screen. Short press the calibration button to finish the 2nd point calibration.
8. Rinse off the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
9. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 10.01 buffer solution and make a quick stir. Hold the electrode still.
10. Wait for the reading to stabilize and stay on the screen. Short press the calibration button to finish the 3rd point calibration.
11. The meter will return to measurement mode, and the calibration is complete.
Note: It is recommended to calibrate the meter before each use for high-accuracy measurements (≤ ±0.02pH). For ordinary-accuracy measurements (≥ ±0.1 pH), calibration can be done once and used for about a week or longer.
