To enable BACnet communication on the eGauge meter, follow these steps:
1. Access the eGauge meter's settings by logging into the device's web interface.
2. Navigate to the "Settings" section.
3. Locate and click on the "BACnet" option.
4. In the BACnet settings page, you will find the option to enable BACnet communication. Toggle the switch to enable it.
5. Configure the BACnet settings according to your network requirements. This includes setting the BACnet IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and port number.
6. Save the changes.
Once BACnet communication is enabled and configured, the eGauge meter will be able to provide BACnet data over an Ethernet LAN (BACnet IP) or RS485 serial (BACnet MS/TP). The meter will periodically send data to a building automation system (BAS) based on the configured settings. The BAS can then use this data to trigger actions, alarms, or control loads and equipment within the building.
Please refer to the eGauge BACnet Communication Protocol instructions for more detailed information and configuration options specific to your eGauge meter model.
