To connect the NOVUS NVIP-5VE-6202 Vandal Proof IP Camera to your network, you can use either a network switch with PoE support or an external power supply. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Connection using a network switch with PoE support:
- Connect an Ethernet cable between the camera and the network switch with PoE support.
- Ensure that the network switch is not connected to any other devices.
- The camera will initialize for about 2 minutes.
- After initialization, you can connect to the camera via a web browser.
2. Connection using an external power supply directly to the computer:
- Connect an Ethernet cable between the camera and your computer.
- Power the camera using a 12VDC power supply compatible with the camera's power supply specification.
- The camera will initialize for about 2 minutes.
- After initialization, you can connect to the camera via a web browser.
Please note that you may need to adjust your computer's IP address to be in the same network subnet as the camera. Refer to the user manual for default network settings and instructions on configuring the camera's IP address.
