The STEVAL-IFP043V1 expansion board can be powered in two ways.
1. Supplying power from the STM32 Nucleo development board: By default, the expansion board is powered by the STM32 Nucleo board through the Arduino UNO R3 connectors. The preferred voltage (3.3V or 5V) can be selected using SW3 on the expansion board.
2. Supplying external power to the STM32 Nucleo development board: If you want to supply power to the STM32 Nucleo board from an external source (7-12V), you can connect the external supply voltage to the CN2 connector on the expansion board. In this case, you need to close jumper D2 (to enable reverse polarity protection) or close jumper J17 (without reverse polarity) to complete the ground loop.
Please refer to Section 1.1.1 (Digital section) and Section 1.1.2 (Power section) of the user manual for more detailed instructions and diagrams.
