To configure your Tapo TP-Link C402 camera to activate its spotlight upon detecting motion, follow these steps using the Tapo app:
Access Device Settings:
- Open the Tapo app and select your C402 camera.
- Tap on the gear icon to enter the device settings.
Enable Motion Detection:
- Navigate to the "Detection" section.
- Ensure that "Motion Detection" is turned on.
Configure Night Mode Settings:
- Go to "Video & Display".
- Select "Night Mode Settings".
- Choose "Full-Color Mode" or "Smart Mode".
- "Full-Color Mode" keeps the spotlight on during low-light conditions.
- "Smart Mode" activates the spotlight only when motion is detected in low-light conditions.
Set Up Alarm Actions:
- Return to the main device settings menu.
- Tap on "Alarm Settings".
- Enable the alarm feature.
- Set the alarm type to "Light" or "Sound & Light".
- This configuration ensures the spotlight activates as a visual alarm upon motion detection.
