To install the MONACOR LEDS-5MP/WWS Flexible LED strip, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the surface: Ensure that the surface where you plan to install the LED strip is clean, dry, and free from any dust or debris. This will ensure proper adhesion.
2. Cut the LED strip: The LED strip can be cut into segments of variable size, with each segment consisting of a group of 3 LEDs. Use sharp scissors or a cutting tool to cut the strip at the designated cutting points.
3. Connect the power supply: The LED strip comes with bare cable ends for direct connection to a power supply. Ensure that the power supply is compatible with the LED strip's specifications, which is DC 12 V/1.5 A (0.5 A/m). Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the power supply to the corresponding terminals on the LED strip.
4. Mount the LED strip: Peel off the protective backing of the self-adhesive rear side of the LED strip. Carefully position the strip on the desired surface and press it firmly to ensure proper adhesion. You can use the included retaining clips to secure the strip in place if needed.
5. Optional accessories: If you wish to control the LED strip using DMX interfaces or LED controllers, you can connect them to the LED strip according to their respective instructions.
6. Test and enjoy: Once the installation is complete, turn on the power supply to test the LED strip. You should see a warm white light emitted from the LEDs. Adjust the positioning or brightness as desired.
