To connect the antaira IMP-C1000-SFP Series Compact Industrial Gigabit Media Converter to your network, follow these steps:
1. Power Input & Connection:
- Connect the positive and negative wires of the DC power supply to the PWR1 (V1+, V1-) and PWR2 (V2+, V2-) contacts on the terminal block connector.
- Tighten the wire-clamp screws to secure the wires.
2. Ethernet RJ45 Port (Auto MDI/MDIX):
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect your network device (e.g., computer, switch) to the RJ-45 port on the media converter.
- The RJ-45 port is auto-sensing, so you don't need to worry about the cable type (straight-through or crossover).
3. SFP Slots:
- Insert the SFP transceiver module into the SFP slot on the media converter. Make sure the triangle mark on the SFP module aligns with the bottom of the SFP slot.
- Connect the LC connector of the fiber cable to the SFP transceiver module.
4. Power On:
- After making all the necessary connections, power on the media converter by supplying power to the DC power input.
Once the media converter is powered on and connected to your network, the LED indicators on the front panel will provide information about the power status, link activity, and PoE status.
