If the paper light on your Kodak Easyshare Printer Dock is blinking quickly, it is an indication that there might be a paper jam. To confirm if your printer dock is jammed, you can follow these steps:
1. Step 1 — Identify the Problem: Check if the paper light on your printer dock is blinking quickly. This is usually the first sign of a paper jam.
2. Step 2 — Removing the Paper Tray: Gently pull out the paper tray from the printing dock to remove it. If the paper tray is empty, the paper light should glow a steady amber.
3. Step 3 — Disconnecting the Power Adapter: Disconnect the power adapter from the printer for 10 seconds. On some models, you may need to press the power button in addition to plugging in the power adapter. Wait for the printer to initialize, as this may help in ejecting the jammed paper from the back side. If the paper does not automatically eject, carefully remove it.
4. Step 4 — Removing the Paper Supply: With the paper tray in hand, open the front lid to access the paper supply. Take hold of the paper bundle and fan it out to prevent the sheets from sticking together.
5. Step 5 — Reloading and Reinstalling the Paper Tray: Reload the paper tray by sliding the paper bundle back into the intended slot and then close the lid. Slide the paper tray into the printer tray slot until it locks into place. To ensure the paper tray fits properly, keep the paper tray cover fully open while installing. Press the power or print button to clear the paper error and resume printing.
