To replace the batteries in the LP146 Keychain Light, follow these steps:
1. Turn the tail cap counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Tip the light downward to slide out the plastic casing that contains the batteries.
3. Once the battery case is free, push out the old batteries and insert new ones. It is recommended to use brand new alkaline batteries of the same voltage and brand for best results.
4. The use of the plastic casing is not required for the batteries to work, but it allows for easier insertion of the batteries back into the light.
5. Place the batteries in the light with the (+) side facing up.
6. Re-attach the tail cap by pressing down lightly and turning it clockwise until tight.
If you anticipate a long period of non-use, it is suggested to remove the batteries from the flashlight and store it in a dry, protected place.
