To update the firmware of the KNOP USB901 USB Power SW Connector, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the KNOPtool program from the KNOP website (knop.dk or knop.se).
2. Connect the USB901 to your computer using a free USB port. If you are using a USB-C port, you will need an adapter.
3. Open the KNOPtool program on your computer. It is only available for Windows 10/11.
4. Check if the USB901 is connected. In the KNOPtool window, you should see a green indicator next to the USB901 and the COM port it is connected to. If it is red, you may need to go to the "COM port" tab and search or select the USB901.
5. If you are updating the firmware for the USB901, KNOPtool will automatically notify you. Press [1] (Yes) to proceed.
6. The firmware will be automatically downloaded from the KNOP server. Press [2] (Program) to start the firmware update process.
7. Wait for the firmware update to complete. The USB901 may disconnect and reconnect during the process.
8. Once the firmware update is finished, you can exit the KNOPtool program by pressing [3] (X).
Please note that in older versions of KNOPtool (prior to V2.0), the firmware update had to be done manually in the "File" menu. In such cases, you would need to obtain the firmware file from KNOP and select it in the "File" tab before proceeding with the update.
