To install the Neptronic BBT1000A Actuator, follow these steps:
1. Manually close the damper blades and position the actuator at either 0º or 90º.
2. Slide the actuator onto the shaft.
3. Use an 8mm wrench to tighten the nuts on the "U" bolt to the shaft with a torque of 60 in.lb. [6.7 Nm].
4. Slide the mounting bracket under the actuator, ensuring free movement of the slot at the base of the actuator. The bracket pin must be placed in the middle distance of the slot.
5. Fix the bracket to the ductwork using #8 self-tapping screws.
For a visual reference, please refer to the mechanical installation diagram provided in the instruction manual.
Note: It is important to wire the actuator to a separate transformer that services only Neptronic products to prevent interference or damage to incompatible equipment. When wiring multiple actuators on a single transformer, observe polarity. Additionally, long wiring runs may cause voltage drop, which can affect actuator performance.
