To install the on your trailer hitch, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the trailer is secured, with the tires chocked and brakes applied, to prevent any movement.
2. Place the locking plate beneath the hitch, then raise it into the ring hole or ball placement.
3. Align the retaining plate with the lower locking plate and press it down into the ratcheting lock mechanism.
4. Press both parts together firmly to secure the lock onto your hitch.
Note: It is important to secure the safety chains separately so that they do not interfere with the hitch lock. Do not wrap the chains through the lock as it can alter the tight fit.
For a visual reference, please refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2 in the instruction manual.
Remember to always store the Ball and Ring Hitch Lock in a secure location when not in use to ensure safe trailer and/or equipment operation.
