To install the SATCO SGB-104 Fixture Canopy Kit, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before starting, switch off the circuit fuse or breaker feeding your outlet. Install and use this product following your local electrical codes and regulations. If the lighting fixture is mounted to a ceiling outlet box, the box must be supported by the building structure and be capable of supporting up to 50 lbs.
2. Attach the crossbar to the ceiling box (A).
3. Insert the threaded xxxx (B) into the crossbar and secure it with the locknut (C). If using the Hickey, insert the threaded xxxx into the hickey (BB) and secure it with the locknuts (CC).
4. Place the canopy up to the ceiling and adjust it to the proper height.
5. Insert the xxxx collar loop into the threaded xxxx (D). Place the ring onto the loop, which will hold the canopy up.
6. Hang the fixture at the desired height with a chain attached to the loop. Lower the ring and canopy.
7. Feed the wire through each link of the chain, then through the hole in the center of the loop, through the xxxx , and into the ceiling.
8. Make electrical connections in the ceiling, matching marked wire to marked wire and unmarked to unmarked (in some cases, black to black or white to white). Use wire nuts and electrical tape.
9. After the connections are made, push the excess wire into the ceiling box. Raise the canopy and xxxx the ring onto the loop to hold up the canopy.
