To properly install the SOUNDIGITAL 1200.4 Evo 4.0 Digital 4-Channel Car Hifi Amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Mount the amplifier in a location that allows easy access to the connectors.
2. Install the power cables correctly, starting from the battery to the fuse holder or circuit breaker. Use the appropriate size cable and make all connections without placing the fuses or circuit breakers yet.
3. Connect the power cables to the amplifier, ensuring the correct polarity. Connect the positive cables from the fuse holder or circuit breaker to the positive connector of the amplifier, and connect the negative power cables from the battery to the negative connector of the amplifier.
4. Keep the ground cable as short as possible and connect it to the vehicle chassis and the battery negative.
5. Install the signal input cables away from the power cables.
6. Connect the RCA or high-level signal input cables to the head unit and the amplifier.
7. Install the audio output cables with the appropriate section, keeping them away from the power and audio input cables.
8. Connect the audio output cables to the amplifier and speakers, ensuring the correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarities.
9. Install the remote cable with the power cables, using a 1.5mm² (15 AWG) cable or thicker.
10. Connect the remote power cable to the amplifier's "REM" terminal at the main unit's remote power output (if not using high-level signal inputs).
11. Before powering the system, double-check all connections to ensure there are no mistakes or short-circuits in the power and ground cables.
12. Reconnect the ground of the batteries.
13. Make sure the head unit is turned off, then place the fuses in the fuse holders or switch the circuit breakers on.
14. Turn on the main unit, and the amplifier's "On" LED should indicate that it is in operation.
