To connect the mXion SMB Level Crossing Control to your railway crossing, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Study the manual thoroughly before starting the installation process.
2. Ensure that the device is not exposed to moisture and is placed in a protected location.
3. Check if your device is programmed with the latest firmware for all available functions.
4. Make sure to set the appropriate output values before connecting any other devices to avoid damage.
5. Install the device according to the connecting diagrams provided in the manual.
6. Take precautions to avoid any connection errors, such as shorts or excessive loads, as this can lead to device destruction.
7. Pay attention to the connectors used for the switch command (K1/K2). It can come from a switch, pusher, light sensor, reed, or other sources. In digital mode, the switch command can directly come from driving trains by making a small cutout on one side of the track.
8. Connect one motor to one alternately suitable for barrier movement (A1/A2). The contacts K1/K2 switch depending on the direction.
9. The module can be used in both analog and digital modes. In analog mode, the contact inputs can be switched by a switch, push, reed, or light barrier. In digital mode, the simplest way is to make a short cut-out piece of track that driving trains will close to switch the SMB's K1 or K2.
10. Adjust the speed and travel time of the engines using the two pots provided.
11. The two outputs A1 and A2 will enter alternating flashing while the engine is moving.
Please refer to the manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations specific to your device model.
