To connect the mxion RBM 10A 4 Channel Track Occupancy Detector to your layout, follow the instructions provided in the user manual. Here are the general steps:
1. Install the device in a protected location, away from moisture.
2. Ensure that the outputs are set to the appropriate value before connecting any other devices.
3. Make sure there are no short circuits caused by mounting screws or metal.
4. Connect the 4 independent inputs (K1-K4) to external switches or complex switching tasks as needed. Refer to the CV list for configuration options.
5. Optionally, connect a second BM module over the inputs for additional functionality.
6. Use the connectors to connect the device to your chosen bus system (S88, LocoNet, or XpressNet) for feedback and control commands.
7. Set the appropriate addresses and configurations for each input (K1-K4) using CV programming.
8. Configure the current detection limit and other settings using CV programming.
9. If using the S88 bus system, connect the RBM to the bus and set the pulse train for the first module using CV35.
10. If using the LocoNet or XpressNet bus system, simply connect the RBM to the bus and the addressing will happen automatically.
11. Test the connections and functionality of the device.
Please refer to the user manual for detailed diagrams and step-by-step instructions specific to your setup.
