To install the mxion Z-Lights on your Kawasaki Z-series motorcycle, please follow the steps below:
1. Study the manual thoroughly before starting the installation process.
2. Find a suitable location to place the decoder unit. It should be protected from moisture.
3. Ensure that your device is programmed with the latest firmware for all functions to be available.
4. Check the scope of supply to ensure you have all the necessary components, including the manual and the two mxion Z-Lights boards.
5. Before connecting any other devices, make sure to set the outputs to the appropriate value. Failure to do so may result in damage.
6. Connect the cables as shown in the connecting diagrams provided in the manual. The device is protected against shorts and excessive loads, but be cautious of connection errors like shorts, as they can damage the device.
7. Connect the provided cable to the jack located on the back of the Z-Lights board.
8. Connect the white wire to the positive terminal of the left turn signal and the red wire to a positive pole of the right turn signal. The main terminals of the lamp socket are labeled as follows: left = taillight, right = brake light, and center = ground connection.
9. Ensure that the boards are symmetrical to each other and properly connected.
10. Optionally, you can glue the taillights board into the old taillight socket and follow the instructions on page 8f for further connection.
Please note that the mxion Z-Lights are not street-legal and should only be used for private purposes.
