The GOSCARE SERA Smart Electric Rehabilitation Aid is a functional electrical stimulator (FES) that helps muscles function by providing electrical stimulation to paralyzed muscles. It is designed to assist and control patients with foot drop while walking. The device has three modes: Auto mode, Walking mode, and Detailed settings.
In Auto mode, the device automatically provides electrical stimulation to exercise the ankle joint. This helps maintain and increase the range of motion of the ankle joint and aids in walking training. To use Auto mode, the user needs to attach the electrode pads, power on the device, control the intensity of the stimulus, operate the device, power off, and then remove the device.
In Walking mode, the device prevents foot drop and assists with walking training. To use Walking mode, the user needs to attach the electrode pads, wear the device, connect and verify the foot sensor, wear the shoe, set the intensity of the stimulus, and then remove the foot sensor and the device.
The Detailed settings allow the user to customize the instrument's settings, such as the intensity of the stimulus, frequency, pulse width, time of stimulus output, and more. The initial product settings are recommended, but users can make changes according to their needs. The Detailed settings also include options to set the time for no stimulus, the time for stimulus, the length of the stimulus, the number of times stimulated per second, and the sound on/off of the foot sensor.
