To install the STIEBEL ELTRON VRL-C 300 Premium Decentralised ventilation unit with a grille, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the installation site: Ensure that the ceiling can bear the weight of the appliance and that the installation room is free from the risk of frost. Install the appliance horizontally and observe the minimum clearances in front of, to the side of, and underneath the appliance.
2. Determine the installation position: Select the mounting system based on the installation position. For the Z profile rail system, secure two profile rails to the appliance and two profile rails below the ceiling. For the C profile rail system, secure two profile rails below the ceiling and fit the angled brackets on to the appliance.
3. Install the outdoor air intake and drill core holes for outdoor air and exhaust air: Install the outdoor air intake at a location with low contamination. Drill core holes for the outdoor air and exhaust air pipes and install the pipes as wall outlets.
4. Connect the air ducts to the appliance: Push the air duct onto the air connection of the appliance and ensure unimpeded overflow and air balancing in the living rooms and bedrooms.
5. Install the condensate drain hose: Connect the condensate drain hose to the appliance, ensuring it is not kinked and has a fall of at least 10%. The condensate must drain away via the domestic sewer system or exhaust air connection.
6. Install the external cover and optional accessories: Install the external cover and, if desired, additional accessories such as a CO2 sensor, VOC sensor, or motion sensor.
7. Install the programming unit: Mount the wall mounting bracket, route the connecting cable through the cable entry, and connect the programming unit to the appliance.
8. Perform the electrical connection: Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before carrying out any electrical work. Follow the wiring diagram provided in the manual and connect the cables accordingly.
9. Commissioning: Ensure that the air ducts are firmly connected to the appliance before commissioning. Adjust the fins in the grilles for optimum air distribution.
10. Appliance handover: Explain the appliance function to users, make them aware of potential dangers, and provide them with the operating instructions.
