To connect the Denon AVR-X1700H receiver to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Place the receiver near your TV and plug in the power cord.
2. Connect the receiver to your home network using either a wired or wireless connection.
- For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable (not supplied) between the receiver and your network router.
- For a wireless connection, rotate the two antennas on the back of the receiver for optimal performance.
3. Connect the receiver to your TV using an HDMI cable.
- If your TV supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), you can use the HDMI connection to return audio from the TV to the receiver.
- Make sure to enable HDMI CEC on your TV for ARC functionality. Refer to your TV's user manual for instructions on setting up HDMI CEC.
- If your TV supports eARC, it can also handle high-bitrate audio formats like Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X. Refer to your TV's instruction manual for information on activating the eARC function.
4. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input for the receiver.
5. Press the power button on the receiver to turn it on.
6. Verify that you can see the setup wizard screen on your TV. If not, go back and repeat the steps in the recommended sequence.
7. Follow the on-screen setup wizard using the remote control to connect your speakers and configure the various components connected to the Denon receiver.
