To install the Solar CFE-5100S Lithium Ion Battery, please follow the steps below:
1. Choose the installation location: Make sure the installation location meets the specified conditions in the manual, such as being indoors, away from flammable materials, and with a flat and level floor.
2. Prepare the installation materials: You will need power cables, data cables, ground wires, and a bipolar external isolator (if installing multiple batteries in parallel).
3. Determine the installation method: The battery can be installed either by wall mounting or ground installation. For wall mounting, use the provided bracket and screws to securely attach the battery to the wall. For ground installation, use the braced feet to fix the battery to the floor.
4. Connect the battery: Before connecting the battery to an inverter, make sure the inverter is turned off. Follow the cable connection instructions provided in the manual for either wall mounting or ground installation. Ensure that the voltage difference between parallel-connected batteries is less than 2.0V.
5. Set the DIP switches: Set the DIP switches on the battery correctly for proper communication between the battery and the inverter. Refer to the manual for the specific DIP switch settings.
6. Commission the battery: Turn on the battery by pressing and holding the panel button for about 4 seconds. Make sure the "Run" light is on. If the light stays off, do not use the battery and contact CFE or your distributor. Turn on the inverter and wait for the start-up sequence to complete.
