To clean the Germanium lens of the ICI GC-76/GC-106 Gas Leak Detection Core, follow these steps:
1. Use a blown balloon or a soft brush to clean the lens surface to remove any dust particles. This will help avoid scratching the anti-reflection coating on the lens.
2. If there is dirt or grease on the lens, use a soft cotton cloth or lens wiping paper. Dip the cloth or paper in alcohol or lens wiping liquid.
3. Gently wipe the lens surface from the middle to the edge, being careful not to crack the lens or use too much wiping liquid.
4. If the lens is still not clean, replace the cloth or paper and repeat the wiping process.
It is important to note that you should not use corrosive chemicals on the lens, as they can damage the anti-reflection coating. Additionally, do not get the electronics wet while cleaning the lens.
