To install the STAHL 278814 Series 8150 Ex i Terminal Boxes, please follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided by the manufacturer. Here is a general overview of the installation process:
1. Ensure that you have all the necessary tools and equipment for installation.
2. Choose a suitable location for the terminal box, keeping in mind the applicable explosion protection zones (Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21, or Zone 22).
3. Make sure the ambient temperature is within the specified range of -50 °C to +75 °C (-58°F to +167°F).
4. Verify that the enclosure material is stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) with a brush finish.
5. Connect the external earth using an M8 connection.
6. Check the dimensions of the terminal box (176.5 x 176.5 x 91 mm or 7 x 7 x 3.6 inches) and ensure it fits the intended installation space.
7. Use the provided tightening torque of 4.5 Nm (39.83 lbf in) to secure the cover xxxx .
8. Determine the desired entry installation options/side (with or without drilled holes) and select the appropriate flange and plates.
9. Install the terminal rail (35 x 133 mm or 1.38 x 5.24 inches) using the specified type of terminals (Phoenix UT) for the desired conductor size (2.5 mm²).
10. If required, install the PA terminal (Phoenix UT PE) for the protective earth conductor.
11. Double-check all connections and ensure they are secure.
