Cleaning the condenser of your Whirlpool Bottom Mount Refrigerator is important to ensure maximum efficiency. Here are the steps to clean the condenser:
1. Unplug the refrigerator or disconnect the power.
2. Remove the base grille located at the bottom of the refrigerator.
3. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to clean the grille, the open areas behind the grille, and the front surface area of the condenser.
4. Replace the base grille when finished.
5. Plug in the refrigerator or reconnect the power.
Regular condenser cleaning is recommended every 6 months in normal home operating environments. However, if your environment is particularly greasy or dusty, or if there is significant pet traffic in your home, more frequent cleaning may be necessary.
