To activate the childproof lock on the GAGGENAU CE261 Glass Ceramic Cooktop, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the cooktop is switched off.
2. Press and hold the "Wipe protection/Childproof lock" touch field for approximately 4 seconds.
3. The indicator light above the touch field will illuminate for about 10 seconds, indicating that the childproof lock is activated.
4. The cooktop is now locked, and children will not be able to switch it on.
5. To deactivate the childproof lock, press and hold the "Wipe protection/Childproof lock" touch field for approximately 4 seconds again.
