To install the MI-HEAT MST1 Room Thermostat for Underfloor Heating, follow these steps:
1. Thermostat Placement: Mount the thermostat on the wall at a height of 80 to 150cm. Avoid installing it in locations with high humidity and direct sunlight exposure. Also, do not place it on the outside wall of the building.
2. Sensor Installation: Install the floor temperature sensor in a corrugated tube (Ø 16mm) to facilitate easy replacement if needed. Refer to the installation and operating instructions of your heating mat for specific guidance on installing the floor sensor.
3. Thermostat Installation: Turn the control xxxx to the minimum temperature (OFF) and use a screwdriver to lever it off in the opposite direction of the thermostat cover. Loosen the left xxxx , remove the thermostat cover and the inner frame.
4. Temperature Setting: The thermostat can be set within a temperature range of +5°C to +45°C. When using it with underfloor heating, ensure that the temperature does not exceed the maximum temperature specified by the floor covering manufacturer (usually max. 27°C). The locking mechanism, located under the control xxxx , prevents unintentional temperature changes. You can adjust the limiting discs by loosening the small xxxx on the right to lock the temperature scale within a specific range. The red limiting disc indicates the maximum temperature, and the green limiting disc indicates the minimum temperature. The LED display indicates the switching of the thermostat relays when the floor temperature is lower than the set temperature. Once the temperature is reached, the relays switch off, and the LED display turns off.
Please note that it is recommended to have specialists handle the installation of the temperature controller and the heating system. Only qualified electricians should perform the electrical connections and mains connection of the appliance. Make sure to disconnect the cables from the power supply before any installation, checking, or replacement of the thermostat. For more detailed information and diagrams, refer to the MI-HEAT MST1 Room Thermostat for Underfloor Heating User Manual.
