To clean the Kenyon B70570 21 Inch Stainless Steel Built In Grill, follow these steps:
1. Remove the cooking grate and drip tray from the grill. Wash the grate with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive cloth. Use only high-temperature plastic utensils when grilling.
2. Make sure the drip tray is inserted all the way into the bottom of the grill and the electric element brackets are resting on the element support bracket.
3. Cover the bottom of the drip tray with a liquid, such as water. Do not use a flammable liquid. This helps prevent smoking during grilling.
4. After each use, clean the grilling surfaces by washing them with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive cloth or place them in the dishwasher. Empty the drip tray and wipe it with a damp paper towel. The disposable drip tray can be used multiple times before needing to be replaced.
5. If using the optional griddle, clean it with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive cloth or place it in the dishwasher.
6. To clean the stainless steel surfaces, wipe them with a damp cloth to remove any residue from previous grilling sessions. Use a stainless steel cleaner once a month to protect the stainless steel.
7. The touch control area is ceramic glass. Clean it with a glass cleaner and a soft towel. If stains appear, use a ceramic glass cleaner.
8. The lid can be cleaned by placing it in the dishwasher and running it on the pots & pans cycle.
9. To clean the grill thoroughly, remove the grate, lift up the electric element, and remove the drip tray. Wipe the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. Use the provided stainless steel cleaner once a month.
10. Always ensure the grill has cooled completely before cleaning or storing.
