To install the Media Retainer on your Datamax-Oneil printer, please follow these steps:
1. Load media into your printer according to the instructions provided in your printer's Operator's Manual.
2. Slide the Media Retainer onto the Media Hub. The Media Hub is the spindle or rod that holds the roll of media.
3. Depending on the type of printer you have, secure the Media Retainer using either the Thumbscrew or the Hanger Guide.
For Hub Type Printers:
- Use the Thumbscrew (part number DPO15-2872-01) to secure the Media Retainer onto the Media Hub. Tighten the Thumbscrew to hold the Media Retainer in place.
For Hanger Type Printers:
- Use the Hanger Guide (part number DPO13-2375-01) to secure the Media Retainer onto the Media Hub. The Hanger Guide is a plastic piece that fits into slots on the Media Hub and holds the Media Retainer in place.

It is important to note that the Media Retainer is designed to enhance media tracking when using narrow roll-supplied stocks with large outside diameters.
