To charge your Intermec CN50 or CN51 computer using the AD27 Single Dock, follow these steps:
1. Connect the power supply to the power connector on the back of the dock. Use the optional strain relief hardware to secure the power supply cable to the dock.
2. Connect the power supply to AC power.
3. Place the computer or a spare battery pack in the dock. The dock can charge a computer and a spare battery pack at the same time.
The battery status LED on the computer indicates the battery charge level. For more detailed information, refer to the computer user manual. The Battery Pack Status LED on the dock indicates the charge level of the spare battery.
The LED descriptions are as follows:
- Red: The battery is charging.
- Green: The battery is fully charged.
- Yellow: The battery is out of the charging temperature range. The operating range for the AD27 is 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F).
- Alternating red and yellow: The battery is not charging. To resolve this, ensure that the battery is firmly installed in the charger and that the charging pins on the dock and the battery contacts are clean. If the issue persists, the battery may be defective.
- Off: No battery is installed or the charger is not receiving power. Make sure the power plug is firmly inserted in the charger and the power supply is properly connected to a powered AC outlet.
Additionally, you can connect USB devices to the dock through the USB client or USB host ports if desired.
