To calibrate the PeakTech 5315 pH meter, you will need two buffer solutions with pH values of 4.01 and 7.01 at room temperature. Here are the steps to calibrate the instrument:
1. Remove the protective cap from the probe.
2. Prepare a container with the appropriate buffer solution for the desired calibration area.
3. Immerse the bottom 4 cm of the probe into the buffer solution.
4. Carefully and slowly move the pH meter in the solution for a few seconds.
5. After a short time, the device will settle down to a measured value.
6. Use the calibration screws located next to the on/off switch to set the value to exactly 4.01 or 7.01, depending on the buffer solution used.
7. Once the calibration is complete, clean the probe with distilled water and dry it with a cloth.
It is recommended to calibrate the pH meter when accurate readings are needed, when the instrument has not been used for a long time, or when it has been used for a long period of time.
