To wire the Danfoss AME Series Electric Drive in modulating mode, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power supply is fully switched off before starting the wiring process to avoid any potential hazards.
2. Fix the actuator onto the valve.
3. Do not touch anything on the PCB (printed circuit board).
4. Wire the actuator according to the provided wiring diagram. Make sure to switch off the power line before connecting the actuator to the controller.
5. Connect the control signal from the controller to terminals Y (input signal) and SN (common) on the AME printed board.
6. The output signal from the terminal X can be used for indication of the current position. The range of the output signal depends on the DIP switch settings.
7. Connect the supply voltage (24 V~ -15 to +10%, 50 Hz) to the terminals SN and SP.
8. Set the DIP switch settings according to your requirements. The factory settings have all switches in the OFF position.
9. If you want to operate the actuator in modulating mode, make sure that DIP switch 6 is set to OFF. In this mode, the actuator's stem will run to its fully extended or retracted position based on the control signal.
10. If you want to operate the actuator in 3-point mode, set DIP switch 6 to ON. In this mode, the actuator will only rise and lower the spindle if power is supplied on port 1 or 3.
11. Finally, connect the power supply to the SN and SP terminals.
Please refer to the provided wiring diagram and the user guide for more detailed instructions and illustrations. It is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and safe operation of the Danfoss AME Series Electric Drive.
