To properly use the BORMANN BWR5039 Car Jack, please follow these steps:
1. Before using the jack, make sure to study, understand, and follow all instructions provided in the user manual.
2. Ensure that the jack is placed on a hard and level surface.
3. Only use the jack for emergency tire changing purposes.
4. Never go underneath the vehicle when it is supported by the jack.
5. Activate the hazard warning flasher, turn off the ignition, set the parking brake, and, if applicable, move the automatic shift selector to the park position or the manual transmission gear selector to the reverse position. Additionally, chock the wheel diagonally opposite from the one being lifted in both directions.
6. Lift the vehicle only on areas specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
7. Follow the tire changing procedure as outlined in the vehicle manufacturer's owner's manual.
8. Do not make any alterations to the jack as it may compromise its safety and functionality.
Before each use, perform the following checks:
- Inspect the jack for any abnormal conditions such as cracked welds, leaks, or damaged, loose, or missing parts.
- If the jack has been subjected to an abnormal load or shock, inspect it immediately.
- If any damage is found, remove the jack from service until it is properly repaired.
To operate the jack:
1. Insert the jack handle into the hole of the handle socket.
2. Ensure that the saddle is correctly positioned. Do not move the jack while the handle is intact in the socket to avoid damaging the jack.
3. To raise the load, hold the front part of the handle with one hand and turn the rear end of the handle clockwise with the other hand.
4. To lower the load, hold the front part of the handle with one hand and turn the rear end of the handle counterclockwise slowly with the other hand.
For care and maintenance:
- When the jack is not in use, keep the lifting arm in the full down position.
- Regularly clean the jack and ensure that the xxxx and bearings are well lubricated.
- Store the handle with care to prevent damage.
Please refer to the user manual for additional information and safety precautions.
