To clean and maintain the OBH NORDICA Coffee Maker BLOOMING, follow these steps:
1. Switch off the coffee maker and unplug it from the power source. Allow it to cool down before cleaning.
2. Remove any used coffee filter and clean the coffee maker's casing with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents or a kitchen sponge.
3. Clean the switch area with a dry cloth only. Avoid getting the switches wet. If they do get wet, wipe them dry and allow sufficient time to dry before operating the appliance.
4. The glass jug and its lid are dishwasher-safe. You can place them in the dishwasher for cleaning. However, the remaining removable parts must be hand-washed.
5. The water outlet section can be removed by pulling it up. It can be cleaned by hand and descaled regularly.
6. To descale the coffee maker, use a mix of 24% vinegar and water or citric acid and water. Follow the instructions provided in the manual for descaling with vinegar or citric acid.
7. After descaling, run 2-3 brewing cycles with just water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
8. Make sure to replace the water outlet section horizontally on the water pipe seal after cleaning, to prevent water from running over the side of the coffee filter.
9. If the coffee maker will be unused for a prolonged time or in locations with a risk of frost, fully empty the water system by turning the appliance upside down.
10. Dispose of the appliance according to local regulations for electrical and electronic waste.
