To set the combination lock on the LOCKER DOWN LD2026/LD2026EX Exxtreme Console Safe, follow these steps:
1. Clear out the contents of the center console before starting the installation process.
2. Before installing the safe, it is recommended to set the combination. Open the safe's door and set the combination using the provided instructions in the manual. This will allow you to test the lock combination effectively without locking yourself out.
3. Once the combination is set, proceed with the installation process.
4. Set the lid assembly diagonally into the center console as shown in Figure 1 in the manual.
5. Adjust the lid assembly within the console so that you can pull it against the top lip of the console compartment, as shown in Figure 2.
6. While holding the lid assembly against the top lip, place the two side brackets on each side of the lid assembly and secure them loosely with the provided 13mm nuts. Refer to Figure 3 in the manual for guidance.
7. Place the two end brackets into the front and rear ends of the safe and secure them loosely with the provided 13mm nuts. Note that the bracket with the longer base goes in the rear of the console compartment, while the bracket with the shorter base goes in the front.
8. Place the X bracket in the bottom of the console, aligning the factory holes in the X bracket with the four PIM studs located on the side brackets (two studs for each side bracket).
9. Apply the provided acorn nuts to the studs and secure them using an 8mm socket wrench.
10. Once the safe is securely installed, you can now enjoy your purchase and use the combination lock to secure your belongings.
