To install the DEATSCH DW300 Fuel Pump 340 lph Compact, please follow the steps below:
1. Start by referring to your vehicle's factory manual or instructions to remove the fuel pump assembly from the vehicle. It is important to follow the specific instructions for your vehicle model.
2. Once the fuel pump assembly is removed, locate the fuel temperature sensor and disconnect the electrical connectors from the pump and level sensor.
3. Lift the slide over the tab and pull the bucket away from the center section.
4. Use a pry tool to remove the pump retainer from the center section and pull the pump out.
5. Prepare the DW200/300 fuel pump by using all three O-rings on the pump outlet. Make sure the O-rings are properly lubricated with the provided Super Lube.
6. Install the DW200/300 fuel pump into the center section. Note that the OE pump isolator/grommet will not be used.
7. Plug the electrical connectors back in and reattach the fuel temperature sensor.
8. Reinstall the fuel pump assembly into the fuel tank. Attach a length of hose to the outlet of the pump assembly, allowing it to drain into a fuel-safe container. This will help prime the fuel pump assembly.
9. Cycle the key to the "on" position multiple times to prime the pump assembly and evacuate any air introduced during the installation process.
10. Finally, attach the supply line to the outlet of the pump assembly.
Please note that while this installation guide provides general instructions, it is always recommended to refer to your vehicle's factory manual or instructions for specific details and any variations in the installation process.
