To install the PULS FPT300.246-042-101 Power Supply, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power before working on the device to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
2. Install the device with the terminals on the bottom. Other mounting orientations may require a reduction in output current.
3. Be cautious of sharp edges during installation and ensure that any sharp edges on the back cannot be accessed to prevent injury.
4. Mount the power supply on a bracket using four screws of size M4 (UNC 8-32). Use screws of equal or higher strength for mounting the bracket.
5. Ensure that all mating connectors are firmly connected to achieve a degree of ingress protection of IP54 according to IEC60529. Note that the enclosure does not provide protection against spilled liquids.
6. The device is designed for indoor use in controlled environments with pollution degree 2. Avoid condensation or icing.
7. Make sure to connect the device to a proper PE (Protective Earth) connection.
8. Depending on the type of mains system, the device is designed for different overvoltage categories and altitudes. Refer to the manual for specific details.
9. Provide a disconnecting means for the input of the device.
10. Do not obstruct airflow for convection cooling. Keep the minimum installation clearances as specified in the manual.
11. Follow all local and national codes for installation.
12. Use plugs and cables rated for the device's output current and required temperature range.
13. The maximum permissible ambient air temperature is +70°C (+158°F).
14. The device is designed to operate in areas with relative humidity between 5% and 95%.
15. Do not connect the negative potential of any output to PE.
16. Clean the device only with a damp cloth.
