To connect the SolarEdge A-400V-3Y-MTR-SE Energy Meter with Modbus Connection, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary current transformers (CTs) for the meter. The specific CT model and rated RMS current depend on your installation requirements. Refer to the "CURRENT TRANSFORMER MODEL" section in the manual for more information.
2. Install the energy meter in a standard electrical panel. The meter is small and easy to install.
3. Connect the CTs to the meter. The CT inputs on the meter accept 333mV signals from the CTs.
4. Connect the energy meter to your SolarEdge system using the RS485 communication interface. The meter supports RS485 half-duplex communication with three wires (A, B, GND). Ensure that the RS485 line termination is set to 120Ω.
5. Set the device ID for the energy meter on the Modbus network. The default device ID is 2, but you can change it if needed.
6. Once the connections are made, the energy meter will provide high-accuracy meter readings for production/consumption monitoring. It can also provide import/export meter readings for export limitation functionality.
Please refer to the manual for additional details and specific installation instructions.
