To set up the Local Load Management (LLM) feature on your EVOCHARGE charging station, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have at least one EVOCHARGE iEVSE Plus model within the LLM group. This model will act as the gateway unit for communication between the charging stations.
2. Connect all the charging station units that you want to include in the LLM group to the main electrical panel or circuit.
3. Determine the configuration option you want to use for load management: Uniform Distribution (UD) or First In First Serve (FIFS).
4. If you choose UD, the output current of each charging station will be reduced proportionally to avoid exceeding the main panel/circuit allowance. If you choose FIFS, the maximum allowable amount of output current will be supplied based on the order of connection to the EV.
5. Access the EVOCHARGE web portal following installation. This portal will allow you to easily set up the LLM feature.
6. Configure the LLM settings according to your desired configuration option and specific requirements. The web portal will guide you through the process.
7. Once the LLM settings are configured, the charging stations will communicate with each other via unit-to-unit Wi-Fi communication to balance the load and avoid overloading the electrical infrastructure.
By following these steps and referring to the EVOCHARGE Local Load Management User Manual, you will be able to set up and utilize the advanced load management capability of your EVOCHARGE charging station.
