To defrost the Beko HSA24541N Chest Freezer, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the appliance from the mains.
2. Remove all the frozen food from the freezer and wrap it in several sheets of paper. Place the wrapped food in the refrigerator or a cool place.
3. Take out the separator panel from under the freezer and place it in the direction of the dripping tube. Remove the obstructing plug from the tube to allow the water to collect in the special tray.
4. Allow the ice to melt and the water to run off. Use a cloth or sponge to wipe away the melted ice, and then dry the interior of the freezer.
5. Replace the obstruction plug in its place.
6. For faster thawing, leave the freezer door open. Do not use sharp metal objects to remove the ice.
7. Do not use hairdryers or other electric heating appliances for defrosting.
It is recommended to defrost the freezer at least twice a year or when the ice layer becomes excessively thick. The ice build-up is a normal phenomenon and can vary depending on ambient conditions and frequency of door opening.
