To install the SHARPER IMAGE BS6-G40-CC 6ct Led G40 Globe String Lights Color Changing, please follow these steps:
1. Review the important safety instructions provided in the manual before installation.
2. If using the lights outdoors, ensure that you follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
3. Install the lights in accordance with the provided instructions and current electrical codes, such as the National Electric Code (NEC).
4. When using the lights outdoors in wet locations, make sure to provide Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection on the circuits or outlets.
5. Use extension cords rated for outdoor use, such as types: SEW, SEOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.
6. Ensure that the receptacle cover is always in place to prevent the entry of water, unless a plug is inserted.
7. Avoid making connections or disconnections when the equipment is wet to prevent the risk of electric shock.
8. Do not use the lights with an extension cord near water or where water may accumulate. Also, do not submerge the lights.
9. Keep the lamps at least 3.6 meters (12 feet) away from pools and spas.
10. Keep the receptacles dry to prevent any electrical hazards.
11. The installation of the LED Dip String Lights is intended for trained, qualified electrical contractors.
12. Use suitable supporting hardware, such as s-hooks, xxxx hooks, or zip ties (not included), to support the string lights whenever span distances exceed 12 feet. Follow local building codes for proper diameter cabling.
13. Install the light sockets base up so that the bulbs are facing down only.
14. Ensure that there is a minimum of 3 inches of space between the lamps and the nearest object. Do not allow lamps or sockets to come into contact with walls, ceilings, fabrics associated with shades, blinds, or other materials.
15. Do not cluster the bulbs together.
16. The lights are not intended for installation in ceilings, soffits, cabinets, or other enclosed spaces.
17. Do not secure the light string to buildings or other structural supports using nails, staples, or other sharp, conducting materials. Avoid damaging the wire.
18. During installation, avoid damaging the insulation of the wire. Do not pierce or compromise the wire's or sockets' outer covering, jacket, or sheathing.
19. Periodically inspect the wire and sockets for degradation due to weather, UV light, or other damage. Promptly replace any worn-out light strings.
20. Do not overload any sockets beyond their maximum wattage rating.
21. Before wiring, replacing light bulbs, or servicing the lights in any way, disconnect the power at the source to reduce the risk of electric shock.
