To disassemble the G Series Disc Grinder, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power switch and disconnect the power cord plug from the outlet.
2. Loosen the Tapping xxxx (W/Flange) D4 x 20 and pull out the Tail Cover. Remove the Carbon Brushes from the Brush Holders.
3. Loosen the four Seal Lock Screws (W/Sp. Washer) M4 x 14 and remove the Packing Gland assembly and Lever Holder.
4. Loosen the four Tapping Screws (W/Flange) D4 x 25 that fix the Gear Cover to remove the Armature from the Housing together with the Diffuser. Make sure the Rubber Bushing is fitted in the housing ball bearing chamber.
5. Securely clamp the Armature in a vise and remove the Special Nut M7. Extract the Gear and Pinion Set.
6. Disconnect the four internal wires of the Stator from the Pushing Button Switch and Brush Holders.
7. Remove the Fan Guide and Stator from the Housing. If the Stator is hard to remove, heat the Housing up to about 60°C to facilitate removal. Then pull out the Rubber Bushing.
8. Use the special repair tool J-201 spring hook to remove the Rubber Bushing from the housing ball bearing chamber.
9. Use the special repair tool J-204 bearing puller to remove the Dust Seal from the armature shaft.
10. Loosen the four Seal Lock Screws (W/Sp. Washer) M4 x 14 and remove the Packing Gland from the Gear Cover.
11. Remove the Retaining Ring for D12 Shaft that secures the gear to the Spindle. If necessary, use the special repair tool J-245-3 sleeve to remove the gear from the Spindle.
12. Disconnect the two internal wires of the Stator and two internal wires of the Noise Suppressor from the Pushing Button Switch.
13. Remove the Cord from the side rib of the Housing.
14. Push the Slide Bar and Slide xxxx to create a 6-mm gap between the Slide Bar and Housing. Pull the Pushing Button Switch out.
15. Remove the Cord from the Pushing Button Switch.
To reassemble the G Series Disc Grinder, reverse the disassembly procedure and follow these additional points:
1. Rub grease into the teeth of the Gear and Pinion Set with your fingers to ensure proper lubrication.
2. When replacing the Armature and the Ball Bearing on the commutator side, press the Dust Seal in while noting its direction until it contacts the butting surface of the Armature. Make sure the Dust Seal cannot turn freely.
3. Fit the Rubber Bushing into the housing ball bearing chamber before installing the Armature.
4. When installing the Stator into the Housing, insert it while correctly placing the internal wires of the Stator. Connect the four internal wires of the Stator correctly.
5. Soak the inner diameter of the Felt Packing with machine oil before assembling.
6. Mount the Fan Guide in the proper direction by matching the gate mark of the Fan Guide with the "N" mark of the Housing.
7. Ensure the pigtail of the Carbon Brush is in its proper position before mounting the Tail Cover.
8. Tighten the Seal Lock Screws, but leave one loose for securing the Lever Holder. Mount the Lever and Retaining Ring D4 to the Lever Holder. Hook the Spring on the Lever. Then tighten the remaining Seal Lock xxxx .
9. Mount the Pushing Button Switch according to the provided steps.
10. Lubricate the specified points with the recommended type of grease.
11. Follow the specified tightening torque for each part.
12. Perform insulation resistance and dielectric strength tests after reassembly.
13. Check the no-load current values after 30 minutes of no-load operation.
14. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper connections.
