To mount the Korg Nutube 6P1 Nutube using the vibration mount, follow these steps:
1. Start by peeling the backing from the two foam squares included in the kit.
2. Insert the Nutube into the PCB and press it into the foam. Make sure it is securely held in place.
3. Flip the assembly over and solder the pins of the Nutube to the PCB. Take care to avoid creating solder bridges.
4. Next, you need to install the suspension foam. There are two pieces of foam provided: a soft blue foam with adhesive on both sides, and a denser white foam with adhesive on one side.
5. For the best isolation, stack the two foam pieces together. To do this, remove the brown liner from the blue foam and stick it to the side of the white foam without adhesive. If you have enough space, use both foam pieces to raise the Nutube about 1" above the PCB. If you have limited space, use only the blue foam, which will elevate the Nutube about ½".
6. Peel the white liner off the blue foam (or blue/white stack) and stick it onto the back of the flex circuit.
7. Finally, peel off the remaining liner from the foam and stick the assembly onto the main PCB. Ensure that you align it properly so as not to cover any PCB pads.
8. Once the assembly is in place, solder the header connector to the PCB.
Remember to be careful with the flex circuit, as it is thin and can tear easily. Take your time during the process to avoid any mistakes or damage.
