To switch between auto noise detection mode and continuous play mode on the PetMedics 2P4S0005 Calming Sound Smoothing Machine, follow these steps:
1. Press the Mode Button on the machine.
2. Listen for a long ascending tone, which indicates that the machine is now in continuous play mode. In this mode, the soothing sound will play on a continuous loop until the music is paused or the unit is powered off.
3. To switch back to auto noise detection mode, press the Mode Button again. Listen for a shorter ascending tone, which indicates that the machine is now back in auto noise detection mode.
4. In auto noise detection mode, the machine will only play the soothing sound when a loud noise (70dB or louder) is detected. It will play the sound for 1 hour and then stop until another loud noise is detected.
It is important to note that a dog's hearing is up to 20 times more sensitive than a human's, so it is recommended to avoid increasing the volume unnecessarily to prevent potential damage to your dog's hearing.
