To switch between different detection modes on the NOYAFA NF-518 Multifunctional Wall Detector, follow these steps:
1. Metal detection mode: This is the default mode. To enter the metal detection mode, simply power on the instrument. In this mode, the instrument can detect magnetic and non-magnetic metals.
2. AC detection mode: To enter the AC detection mode, press the corresponding button. This mode is used for scanning live wires. When the instrument detects a live wire, the display will show the live icon and the received signal strength.
3. Wooden wall detection mode: To enter the wooden wall detection mode, press the corresponding button. This mode is used to detect the uniformity of wood walls and identify hidden rib and slot positions. There are two operation modes for wooden wall detection: automatic calibration detection mode and manual calibration detection mode.
- Automatic calibration detection mode: Place the instrument close to the target surface to be detected and the instrument will perform automatic calibration. Move the instrument slowly in the area to be measured. When a material change or rib/slot position is detected, the screen will display information such as "RIB" or "SLOT" and the strength of the received signal. The instrument will emit a sound after detecting a rib or slot position.
- Manual calibration detection mode: If the color of the detected target surface is dark and cannot be calibrated in the automatic mode, press the corresponding button to enter the manual calibration detection mode. After calibration, move the instrument in the area to be measured for scanning detection.
Note: The manual provides more detailed instructions and illustrations for each detection mode. Please refer to the manual for complete information on using the NOYAFA NF-518 Multifunctional Wall Detector.
