To descale the EZBASICS QC-CM804 Single Serve Coffee Maker and remove mineral buildup, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your coffee maker is unplugged from the power source and turned off.
2. Empty any remaining water in the water reservoir or wipe it down with a moist towel.
3. Prepare a descaling solution by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water. The amount of solution needed will depend on the size of your water reservoir.
4. Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution. Do not add a coffee pod.
5. Place a mug or container on the drip tray to collect the descaling solution.
6. Press the power button to turn on the coffee maker.
7. Allow the coffee maker to go through its entire brewing cycle, as if you were brewing a cup of coffee. The descaling solution will help remove mineral deposits from the internal components.
8. Once the brewing cycle is complete, discard the descaling solution from the mug or container.
9. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly to remove any vinegar residue.
10. Refill the water reservoir with fresh water.
11. Run the coffee maker two more times with fresh water to rinse out any remaining vinegar residue.
12. Clean the drip tray, brewing basket, and any other removable parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly before reassembling the coffee maker.
13. Your coffee maker is now descaled and ready to use again.
Regular descaling helps maintain the performance and longevity of your coffee maker. It is recommended to descale the EZBASICS QC-CM804 Single Serve Coffee Maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you notice a decrease in brewing efficiency.
