To measure voltage with the Fluke T5-600 Electrical Voltage Tester, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the tester is properly powered by inserting two AA batteries into the battery compartment.
2. Turn on the tester by rotating the dial to the V (Voltage) function.
3. Select the appropriate voltage range by rotating the dial to the desired setting. The T5-600 can measure voltage up to 600 volts (AC and DC).
4. Ensure that the test leads are securely connected to the tester. The black lead is for common (COM) and the red lead is for voltage (VΩ).
5. Identify the circuit or component you want to measure voltage across.
6. Touch the red lead to the positive side of the circuit or component and the black lead to the negative side.
7. Read the voltage measurement on the digital display. The measurement will be displayed in volts (V).
Note: Always follow proper safety precautions when working with electrical circuits. Make sure to de-energize the circuit and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
