To install the JBL Aqua In Out Extension for water changing, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the water jet pump to the water tap: Use one of the provided thread adapters (22 x 1 or 24 x 1) to connect the water jet pump to the water tap. If your water tap has a ¾ inch hose thread, you can connect the pump directly without using an adapter.
2. Connect the long extension hose: Attach one end of the long extension hose to the ball joint on the water jet pump. Use the xxxx clamp connection to secure it in place.
3. Connect the short hose piece: Attach the other end of the long extension hose to the loosely enclosed hose stopcock. Then, connect the short hose piece to the gravel cleaner.
4. Position the gravel cleaner: Hang the gravel cleaner into the aquarium water, ensuring it reaches the bottom.
5. Open the stopcocks: Open the stopcock at the water jet pump and the stopcock of the hose. This will allow water to flow through the system.
6. Start the water flow: Fully open the water tap to create a water jet. The water flowing by will create a siphoning effect, sucking in the aquarium water.
7. Clean the aquarium bottom: While the water is being siphoned out, use the gravel cleaner to clean the aquarium bottom, removing debris and waste.
8. Refill the aquarium: To refill the aquarium, close the stopcock at the water jet pump and let fresh water run into the aquarium. You can adjust the water temperature and add any necessary water conditioners before refilling.
