To install the Rockford Fosgate R165X3 3-Way Car Audio Coaxial Speakers, follow these steps:
1. Determine where you want to mount the speakers and ensure that the area is large enough for the speaker to mount evenly. Make sure the mounting location is deep enough for the speaker to fit without any obstructions.
2. Refer to the specification chart in the manual to determine the proper diameter hole to cut for your speaker model. Cutting and mounting templates can be found on the Rockford Fosgate website.
3. Mark the locations for the mounting screws and drill the holes using a 1/8" bit.
4. Feed the speaker wires through the cutout and connect them to the speaker terminals. Make sure to observe proper polarity when connecting the wires. The positive terminal is indicated with a "+" symbol.
5. Fit the trim ring over the speaker and mount it into place using the four provided screws.
6. Tighten the screws until the speaker is snug in place to prevent any rattling. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws.
