Step 1: Start by locating the three mounting positions on each side of your vehicle. Remove the rubber plugs on the inner rocker panel and insert the clip nuts onto the existing holes in the pinch weld and inner rocker panel. Note that some vehicles may have welded nuts on the pinch weld and threaded inserts in the rocker panel, in which case you can use them directly in the next step.
Step 2: Attach the front passenger side bracket to the front of the passenger side inner rocker panel. Secure it with one M8X25 hex bolt, one M8 lock washer, and one M8X25 flat washer. Attach the remaining bracket to the inner rocker panel and secure it with two M8X25 hex bolts, two M8 lock washers, and two M8X25 flat washers.
Step 3: With assistance, lift and attach the step bar to the brackets. Secure the three support brackets and the step bar onto the brackets using nine M8X30 hex bolts, nine M8 lock washers, and nine M8X20 flat washers.
Step 4: Tighten the M8 hex bolts on the vehicle with a torque wrench to 15 ft. lbs. torque. Adjust the step bar to be level and tighten the M8 hex bolts with 15 ft. lbs. torque. After the step bar is installed, periodically check to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
