To install the LUTRON Sivoia Roller 64 WIDR Pocket Mount, please follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Prepare to Install:
- Make sure to read and follow all instructions for mounting the shade system to avoid any potential injuries.
- Ensure that you are using Lutron brackets, controls, and power supplies specifically designed for this system.
- Install the shade system in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- The shade system is intended for indoor use only, with an ambient operating temperature of 32 °F - 104 °F (0 °C - 40 °C) and 0-90% humidity.
2. Install the Pocket:
- Slide the pocket endcap into the pocket until it is flush with the outside. No fasteners are required.
- Pre-drill the pocket to allow clearance for the wires without interfering with the bracket location. Follow the suggested hole locations provided in the guide.
3. Mount the Pocket:
- Fasten the pocket to the mounting surface using appropriate fasteners. The installer is responsible for selecting and installing fasteners that can support a load of 250 lbs (113.4 kg).
- Ensure the mounted pocket is level and un-twisted, with front and back walls plumb. Shimming may be necessary for an irregular mounting surface.
- Leave 1/8 inch (3 mm) clearance on each end of the pocket when mounting between two jambs or walls to allow for thermal expansion.
4. Mark the Shade Bracket Locations:
- Mark the location of the shade brackets in the mounted pocket, centered over the window, using the bracket-to-bracket distance (tube width + 1 1/2 inch).
5. Install the Shade Brackets:
- Install the shade brackets at the marked locations using appropriate fasteners. Each bracket should have four screws.
- The shade brackets are capable of supporting an operating load of 250 lbs (113.4 kg). Ensure the mounting surface and underlying structure can support the shade system and its operating load.
6. Hang the Shade:
- Turn the square mounting yoke at the drive end so that the drive control buttons face downward. Route the EDU power and control cables through the notches in the pocket.
- Hang the shade by aligning the idler mounting yoke with the shade bracket mounting tabs and fitting the yoke around the tabs. Depress the spring-loaded idler and fit the drive-end mounting yoke over the tabs.
7. Check and Secure the Shade:
- Measure and verify that the idler-end light gap is 3/4 inch (19 mm), ± 1/8 inch (3 mm) when the shade is in the brackets. Make bracket position adjustments if necessary.
- Ensure the installed shade system is level and centered on the window opening. Make bracket position adjustments if necessary.
- Use a hand screwdriver to tighten the retaining screws at each end of the shade to secure it. Do not overtighten.
8. Wiring and Power-Up:
- Follow the instructions in the provided document (Sivoia QS Basic Wiring and Setup) to complete the shade wiring and set limits.
- Run the shade up and down several times to check for any interference with normal shade movement and make adjustments if necessary.
9. Optional Pocket Flap Installation:
- Hang the pocket flap on the flap hanger, ensuring it does not contact the fabric or interfere with shade movement.
